According to a post at AFP, Japanese Pop Star Ayumi Hamasaki has announced that she has gone deaf in her left ear. Believed to be suffering from tinnitus, Ayu discovered the condition last year after having an ear exam. Tinnitus is the same condition that caused German composer Ludwig van Beethoven’s deafness.
The singer has said that she plans to continue her career and go forward with her upcoming Asia tour.
